Christmas 2010!!!

 We had such a great Christmas this year!! we were pretty busy but i fell like the true meaning of chrismas finally showed through in our family!! It felt so good to be giving!!! Blake had a great first christmas and they both got SO MUCH STUFF!!!!! we really appreciate it though, it's kinda nice to be able to play with different toys and it's always nice for the boys to get new clothes! :) Thanks everyone for such a great Christmas, we are so blessed to have such great people to spend it with!! :)

Holiday Road

We went to see some lights in Spring Lake that we had heard about on the news that were supposed to be pretty cool.  We had nothing to do that night so we decided to do something fun....what an experience!!! We were told to get there right when it started at 6 so we left pretty early.  On our way we had plenty of time so we decided to stop and eat at Taco Bell and we got to our exit about 6:45 and there were so many cars backed up that we could hardly get off the highway!!! I was not expecting to have to wait at all let alone that long.   We contemplated turning around but i really wanted to see the show and we were already there so we thought we would wait it out.  Long story short.... we ended up waiting until 9:45 to see the show and it was quite interesting during the wait.  First of all.... because i had no idea it would take that long i wasnt prepared to give Blake a bottle and i didn't have any water! we scrambled around to try and find some and we had nothing!  Because we were bumper to bumper in line i got out and walked to a house to ask for some and of course got no answer! finally the car behind us must have noticed what we were doing and they gave us a half drinken bottle of water! hahaha  sounds kinda gross but we were desperate! after we got Blake calmed down then Tanner decided he had to go potty! of course!! he had been doing so well with the potty training and i wasn't about to let him just go in his pull-up so Ross got out and took him in the woods to go to the bathroom! He had never done that before and thought it was pretty cool.  Hopefully we didn't start a bad habbit! :) after the kids were taken care of then I had to go to the bathroom and there was absolutley NOWHERE to go!! So you guessed it....yes! i went pee in my Taco Bell cup!! again...i was desperate!! So overall our wait was pretty interesting.  If we would have known that we would be waiting for 3 hours we would have NEVER stayed, but im glad we did it was really cool to see!! i was so busy watching it that i didn't take any pictures! Oh well... i don't think that we will ever forget that night!!  

Santa!!!

         We went to go see Santa the other night with the Huizenga's and it was so much fun!! I didn't really know if Tanner understood or not what Santa is all about, but i quickly found out! We were waiting in line to see him and Tanner was so excited he could NOT stop dancing!! it was so cute! When it was our turn he was a little hesitant at first so Ross went with him and then he was fine.  When Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas he said "underwear" hahaha maybe we get a little too excited about the potty stuff :) but hey it's working so oh well! Blake didn't really know what to think of him but he wasn't scared!  I was so wrapped up in the excitement i didn't really get a good picture of them but oh well.

We got a snowmobile from Justen for $100 and it has been so much fun!!! The first day that we got snow Tanner woke up and the first thing he asked Ross was if he could ride the snowmobile! It was so cute :) Tanner is obsessed with riding things.  We just got him a new helmet so now we can feel better about taking him on that stuff.... and he thinks its the greatest thing! he even wants to wear it on the lawnmower! hahaha  I can't wait for Blake to get a little bit older so we can take them both on their fun toys! I love seeing the joy in their eyes.  For now Blake can watch and he really enjoys that too!

Welcome to the world of computers!!!!!!!

ok so... i just got this computer and i am soo excited to start this blog. im hoping it will be kind of like scrapbooking made easy. im still trying to figure this out so it probably wont be that great for a while but oh well its just something i wanted to do for myself anyway.  I just want to be able to capture our special memories and to journal about them too! so here goes :)
